To flirt in the morning
And make a casino
From chili flakes of affection.
Picante Rican lights
Put the devil to sleep
The fizz of dead gays and others sobbing
The broken is stuck.
Joshua was listening to disco, new wave and punk as he composed this chapbook. And it was the summer of the eclipse, which he saw in totality with his ex. The poems in xxox fm juxtapose sexual energy and grief, desire alongside death. They take place after Josh and his ex found closure, and were excited and scared by the moon falling asleep, being that they only lived in this nightworld, where the sky is obsidian, and they love one kind of holiday.
