Doublecross Press will be reading chapbook manuscripts from February 1—March 15th 2020 for our new series, Bound Together. Each book will be a dos-à-dos, two books that share a back cover. Two writers, two manuscripts, one binding.

What to submit

Only send manuscripts if you are happy to be matched up and to share your book with another writer.  Length: 25 pages max.

We are interested in work that is thoughtful and politically prescient and/ or formally adventurous. We like to be surprised, made to laugh, enraged, disturbed, informed, engaged. Most of what we publish falls loosely under the genre umbrella of “poetry,” but we consider that umbrella as a large one, which shelters many approaches. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with Doublecross Press books and authors to know what we are about.

How to submit

Send a PDF manuscript to doublecrosspress@gmail.com with SUBMIT in the subject line.

Include a short description of your work and your bio.

Simultaneous submissions are fine—just let us know if your work is accepted elsewhere.

There is no reading fee, but we ask that you buy a book from us or from another small press. If you can’t buy a book at this time, consider asking your local library to order a specific small-press book of poetry for their collections.

Books will be made in 2020-2021 and selections/pairings will be announced in early May.
